Phase 2 Projects: Dandume, Faskari Demonstrate Commitment

In its visitation mission to phase 2 projects being executed by respective local government areas in Katsina State, the Media Team from the State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs has visited Dandume and Faskari local government areas.

The Team led by the Public Relations Officer of the Ministry AbdulRahman Sama'ila inspected total renovation of Dandume Primary Healthcare Centre, total renovation of construction of Islamiyya School at Layin Jakai IN Dandume Town,600Metre drainage at Layin Alhaji Buhari and provision of electricity at Unguwar Alhaji Buhari where 60 poles already erected.

Chairman of the area Alhaji AbdulBasiru Musa explained that the projects are being executed subject to consultations with the local communities.

The Chairman said the phase 2 projects are being executed with the 50% of the funds given to him by the Ministry and assured to collect the remaining 50% of the funds allocated to the LGA in due course.

He registered satisfaction on the action taken by the state Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under Professor Badamasi Lawal for closely monitoring and assessing the level of projects being executed by LGAs before releasing the remaining 50% balance of the total funds allocated to them.

Some Health personnel Muhammad Junaid, Abdullahi Adamu and Hamza Lawal Dandume applauded the efforts of the Chairman for his consideration to health sector by renovating the PHC, as according to them, for over 15 years the health facility has never been considered for renovation until this time.

They they expressed appreciation for the quality of the work being carried out by the Contractor and urged other LG Chairmen to follow the foot steps of Alhaji AbdulBasiru Musa on health sector.

Similarly at Faskari local government area, the Media Team inspected a Constituency Project being executed by Member representing Faskari LGA in the State House of Assembly out of the LGA funds which is an ongoing 
construction of rural feeder road from Kwanar Gardawa to Kadirawa Village.

Other projects embarked upon by the Chairman of the local council Alhaji Bala Ado and inspected by the Team include completed wall fencing of the Local Government Secretariat and total renovation of Works Department structure as well as rehabilitation of Women Centre in Faskari Town.

The Media Team was also conducted round by the Director Works of the local council a land which was compensated for the extension of Command Secondary School in Faskari, construction of two 350m Drainages each at  Sabon Gari 'Yankara Town and along Ruwan Godiya road in Sheme Town.

The Head of Works of the local government area on behalf of the Chairman Alhaji Bala Ado after narrating the number of first trenche projects executed and the ongoing in the second trenche, reassured people of the area of the commitment of the current local administration in bringing up more projects in the area for the betterment of the area.

One of the beneficiaries of such projects, Mai Unguwa Alhaji Labaran expressed appreciation and prayed for the leaders to continue executing  viable projects for the common man to benefit for good.
